You will be working within various scopes of work in the commercial, industrial and private sectors.
Monard Electrical invests a lot of time in training apprentices alongside our learning provider JTL, and just as much time recruiting the perfect people. We make sure the training that they receive is of the right quality, supporting them in their goal to become highly skilled, confident, competent electricians.
An electrical apprenticeship typically takes around four years to complete. However, if you already hold relevant qualifications or experience in the electrical industry, the duration may be reduced based on your prior knowledge and skills.
The course is delivered via day release over an academic calendar year at a JTL training centre or college partner near you; however, some regions may offer block release. This will be discussed with you before you start.
Each apprentice will be allocated a dedicated Training Office to monitor and assess their learning progress throughout their apprenticeship.
There will be an End Point Assessment, usually taken in Year 4 of the apprenticeship, called the AM2S.

- Installing electrical equipment and wiring
- Repairing and troubleshooting electrical faults
- Maintaining electrical systems
- Ensuring compliance with legal and safety regulations

- You will need GCSE grades between 9 and 4 (A* to C), in English and Mathematics, or an equivalent Level 2 Functional Skills qualification or pass our Supervised initial Assessments.
- You will need to be registered with JTL Training - Form
- Have a completed and signed Colour Vision Certificate - Template
- Have a positive can do attitude
