During more than four decades in business we have formed excellent, long-established partnerships with our clients and, thanks to this, we have an extremely varied client base in and around Oxfordshire and the south west of England.

It matters because project delivery relies heavily on a good level of trust between the client and our electrical team. Our people and our relationships
We love what we do. Our staff all enjoy plenty of job satisfaction, whether it’s changing a component within electrical equipment in a heritage building or successfully completing an entire University Building Electrical Refurbishment. Tight working relationships with main contractors help to make things go like clockwork.
Our people are the face of our company and they reflect our ethos and image. Everyone you encounter will be happy to liaise, glad to help you in a truly professional manner. The two most important cogs in our business model are our staff and our clients. After all, if they’re not happy we don’t have a business!
Monard Electrical invests a lot of time in training apprentices alongside our learning provider JTL, and just as much time recruiting the perfect people. We make sure the training that they receive is of the right quality, supporting them in their goal to become highly skilled, confident, competent electricians. We believe our approach creates a family feeling and one that ensures that our apprentices want to continue working with us. Some have…for 30 years +!!
In 2019 we were recognised for our commitment to training by the JTL and were very proud to have won a national award. Our exceptional apprentices have also won awards over the years, most recently in 2020.
Our accreditations
We are accredited with the NICEIC, ECA and Construction Line, so you can be assured every area of Health and safety and Electrical installation design is maintained to the highest possible standards.
Our location
Our office is just half a mile from Oxford City Centre, and we take pride in our reactive service. We endeavor to be at a City Centre emergency call out within an hour of your enquiry, and we stock most of the general emergency materials and equipment you could possibly need either in our vast fleet of company vehicles or in our own stores.

Meet our Partners & Office Management Team
We are fortunate to have a talented, dedicated employed workforce. Many members of staff have been with us for 25 years or more, and we have a long history of engaging with them to create and empower a strong and committed business model. All this helps us to deliver projects to the highest standards.
We run an active award-winning apprenticeship scheme to make sure we pass on the vast experience, tips, tricks and knowledge that our partners, technicians and electricians have gathered. And we continually invest in training for our workforce to support them in working to the highest standards in a positive, safe environment.
Stuart has been with Monard’s since 1998, joining our apprentice scheme after completing his A' levels.

Richard joined Monard Electrical as an apprentice in 1999. During his time onsite he worked mainly on projects for the University of Oxford, on many Grade 1 listed sites including The Ashmolean Museum and Exam Schools.

Mark has been with Monard electrical contractors LLP since 1990, joining us via our apprentice scheme after leaving school. On becoming an electrician, he gained further experience working for Monard in the Oxford area, carrying out maintenance and small works installations.

Tom joined Monard Electrical in 2006. Once he'd qualified as an Electrician in 2010, he moved into the office as the company buyer. From there he learned many different aspects of the business and is now our office technical engineer.

Linda joined Monard Electrical in June 1989, working with our original partners. Linda has tackled all of the roles in our office placing her perfectly to be our Office Manager.

James Gray has worked for Monard since leaving school in 2002. Starting as an apprentice, he has worked his way up the ladder, first becoming a skilled engineer, then a respected supervisor. Now he's our Contracts Manager.
